One Book One Valley : An Evening with Eleanor Roosevelt

7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
ONLINE
Meet First Lady Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt.  The first presidential spouse to take on a more public role, Eleanor Roosevelt used her position at the White House to advance her own causes and be her husband's "eyes and ears" while traveling the nation.  Mrs. Roosevelt championed many of the New Deal Programs, including the Packhorse Library Project.
Susan Marie Frontczak melts, stretches, and reforms the boundaries between theatre, storytelling, and public speaking. The program is presented with no imaginary "fourth wall" between the historical figure and the audience. The audience travels back in time to hear from and converse with the historical personage. This "Chautauqua" format consists of a monologue in character, followed first by a Q&A with the historical figure, and then a Q&A out of character as the scholar.  Susan Marie has presented over 800 Living History programs  in 42 of the United States and nine countries abroad since 2001.
Live Zoom presentation.  Registrants will be emailed the link 24 hours prior to the presentation.
