'We Need To Talk' - Discussion of Book and TED Talk - Conflict Resolution Month Program

10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Event Details

When the state of affairs make conversation with those we disagree with seem impossible, author Celeste Headlee provides hope for reengagement. Her book, 'We Need to Talk,' serves as an opportunity for learning and connection between and amid those who hold differing beliefs. Through sharing of personal stories, powerful data and useful tips, readers will gain perspective on how to reimagine conversation, and the skills necessary to immediately heighten our own engagement. Pick up a copy of the book from the Library, check out the Library's book club bag - complete with discussion guide - to share with a group, or watch a condensed version of the subject in Headlee's TED Talk on the topic. Regardless of the way you engage, join us for a discussion on October 13th. This program is facilitated by and offered in collaboration with Estes Valley Restorative Justice Partnership in celebration of Conflict Resolution Month. Please join us on Zoom 5 - 10 minutes early to resolve any technical issues. The Zoom link will be emailed to you approximately 24 hours prior to the discussion. Register for any or all of the Conflict Resolution Month programs and you’ll receive an email with information on picking up your copy of this year’s featured title, ‘We Need To Talk’ by Celeste Headlee. A limited number of copies are available, while supplies last.
