Learn why it's more difficult than ever to discriminate between news, opinion, entertainment, and advertising and how filter bubbles present information biased towards one's own beliefs. According to a Pew Research Center 2016 study, 62% of U.S. adults get news on social media. Sharing articles-- especially stories which create a strong reaction-- are the breeding ground of fake news. Bring your own device or computer to this hands on class or borrow a library laptop.
